Clinical Medicine

WELCOME TO THE DEPARTMENT OF CLINICALMEDICINE
In 1977 the College started training Clinical Officers of which the government did not affirm because they said the only school mandated to do this was Malawi College of Health Sciences. Finally in 1997, College was accepted to start training Clinical Officers officially. In 1999, the department started an upgrading course Medical Assistants to Clinical Officers. The plans are on of starting a Diploma course in Palliative care which will lead to Bachelors in Palliative care and also Bachelors in Surgery. The department has the largest number of students. Diploma in Clinical Medicine-Mature Entry 48,Diploma in Clinical Medicine (levels 2 and 3) 105, Certificate in Clinical Medicine (levels 1 and 2) 160. This excludes first years who register under the Basic Science Department.
